Airk is an old friend and mentor of Madmartigan and the general in charge of the Galladoorn army. He had a past acquaintence with Madmartigan, but as Airk served Galladoorn, Madmartigan refused to serve anyone. He has several battles with the Nockmaar army before meeting Madmartigan at the Daikini crossroads but denies to free him.
Airk convinced his army to aid Madmartigan's quest to protect the baby Elora Danan, finally prevailing at Nockmaar Castle, although he is killed by General Kael during this battle.
