Frost giants were enormous creatures whose flesh was made of ice. According to the folklore of Nockmaar, the legendary warrior Ghilasson once slew one such monster by reflecting the sun's rays on it with his shield, melting the giant down to a mere skeleton. The legend also said that Ghilasson crafted a magic helmet from the giant's skull.[1]
