Sushin (literally "mosquito") was a school of sword fighting that originated in the northeastern kingdoms beyond the mountains of Nockmaar. It stressed adroit maneuvering, delicate control of the blade tip, and above all, finesse. Because it demanded extraordinary ability, sushin ended up falling into disuse and became a lost art. However, the swordmaster Roniro still mastered the technique, and he taught it to Madmartigan,[1] who even named his first sword after it.[2]
