A troll sport was a rare intelligent troll.
History[]
While trolls were normally incapable of rational thought and actual speech, a smart specimen did appear in every few hundred births. Sports could come up with new strategies, use tools and weapons, and even speak, which is why they often became leaders of their packs—unless they were females.[1]
The Demon Queen Bavmorda appeared to have been fond of troll sports, and she domesticated a dozen of those, having them work as laborers in her castle of Nockmaar. Bavmorda's troll sports were divided in at least three categories, the cleaner-trolls, the dungeon-trolls, and the tower-trolls.[3]
The Crone taught these trolls to refine the vermiscus they collected at the Dread Mines of Skellin and turn it into an elixir that made them stronger, faster, and smarter.[4]
